# Updated Community Guidelines
Based on community feedback and growth, we've updated our guidelines to better serve our expanding member base.

1. **Be Helpful** - Share knowledge, not criticism
2. **Stay Technical** - Keep discussions focused on solving problems
3. **Respect Differences** - We all have different experience levels
4. **Cite Sources** - Give credit where it's due

Key Changes
### 1. Project Showcase Rules
- **Must include:** At least 3 progress photos
- **Must document:** Tools used, time spent, challenges faced
- **New requirement:** Before/after comparisons encouraged
### 2. Troubleshooting Posts
- **Required format:**
1. Problem description
2. System specifications
3. Steps already tried
4. Error messages/screenshots
### 3. Commercial Content
- **Allowed:** Sharing your services in the Market District
- **Not allowed:** Unsolicited advertising in technical forums
- **Requirement:** Must disclose commercial relationships
### 4. AI-Generated Content
- **Allowed:** As a tool to enhance your posts
- **Requirement:** Must be verified and edited by human
- **Not allowed:** Fully AI-generated troubleshooting advice
### 5. Safety Guidelines
- **New requirement:** Electrical/automotive posts require safety warnings
- **Required disclaimer:** "Attempt at your own risk" for advanced modifications

Enforcement Changes
### Three-Strike System
1. **Warning:** First violation - reminder of guidelines
2. **Temporary restriction:** Second violation - 7-day posting restriction
3. **Review:** Third violation - account review by mod team
### New Moderation Tools
- **Post quality scoring** for troubleshooting threads
- **Automated format reminders** for common post types
- **Peer review system** for controversial technical advice
